Class Disclaimer: 1. Developed a knowledge base of the interdisciplinary nature of the related literature. 2. Developed a better understanding of the information service needs of certain segments of the population. 3. Developed a familiarity with methods used to mediate stated barriers to information. 4. Developed awareness of modes of access to information designed for particular groups. 5. Developed the ability to design and demonstrate library or information service programs that facilitate information access to specific user groups. No textbook is required. The course objectives will be accomplished by online lecture notes, class discussion and student presentation related to the required readings, mid-term and final project reports.
