Class Description | The purpose of this course is to familiarize LIS students with the new cataloging rules, Resource Description and Access (RDA). RDA is intended to replace the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2) in the coming year. The course will provide students a complete introduction to both conceptual and practical elements of RDA, including its alignment with the conceptual models of the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) and Functional Requirements for Authority Data (FRAD).
