Class DescriptionInformation Service to Special Needs Populations will examine the historical and philosophical context of the concept of disability, including ADA regulation, mainstreaming, and deinstitutionalization. We will consider the ramifications of current thinking for libraries and other information providers. We will also explore the practicalities of equal provision of service to populations designated as special needs.
