WISE at ALA 2009!

Thanks to all who attended a productive WISE meeting on Monday July 13, including our guest Peter Burnett from the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP). Peter joined us to speak about INASP's educational outreach program which provides professional development for librarians and library science faculty in developing countries.  Additional information about this effort will be sent to member schools in the coming weeks for those interested in getting involved.

Visiting Coordinator of Instructional Design Anne McKinney (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)  presented a poster entitled WISE Pedagogy on demand: Free training for LIS online instructors, (PDF File) on Saturday July 11 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
