For Immediate Release

Contact: Katie Schisa

November 28, 2007

In August 2007, WISE was present at the inaugural meeting of a new special interest group dedicated to e-learning at the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress in Durban, South Africa. Information about the group is available at https://www.ifla.org/VII/dg/eldg/index.htm.

ELEARN, a brand new IFLA mailing list, has been set up by the IFLA E-learning Discussion Group. This list is for information professionals who are interested in issues related to distance education in the library and information science field, continuing professional education, assessment and quality assurance, and the re-use of open-source content. The list also provides a core communication vehicle for the IFLA E-learning Discussion Group.

If you are interested in these topics please join the E-list and contribute to the emerging discussion!

You can subscribe to the list at: https://infoserv.inist.fr/wwsympa.fcgi/info/elearn.
